Custom certificate (plugin)

I love this module and it works great.

Within my Moodle site I have two programs, one has 10 courses and the other 7 courses. Upon completion of each course I have a certificate for each one, I hope I have it set right so that it is emailed to the student automatically. What I would like to know if it is possible that a certificate is sent when the one program is completed of the 10 courses, and then another one for the other that have 7 courses. Can it be set up to do this automatically?

I have the certificate in the last topic of each class. Do I need to do something to activate it to send the certificate to the completed students? Will it activate on it's own?
