forcing a student to first successfully complete questionaire before next lesson

Will it at all be possible to add a feature to control which lessons students have access to? What I mean is, say a student has to first complete a successful assignment for a particular lesson before he is allowed to progress to the next lesson, say perhaps via a registration key. Also, if this feature would be such that different students are granted access at different times, to study at their own pace within an allocated time to finish the entire course?
