Certificate gives me a Blank Page in Moodle 1.9.5

Hello,

I downloaded and installed the certificate module for moodle version 9.

After I had finished setting up the certificate, I clicked on the certificate from the activities list in my course to make sure it worked, and it left me with a blank page, no text, no errors, just a blank white page.

I'm using Moodle version 1.9.5

Any Ideas on how to fix this?

Cheers.

I tried replacing lib.php as suggested in your link, but it still didn't work. The page is still blank. I even tried re-installing the certificate module with the updated lib.php file, but that didn't work either.

It's not the actual certificate that's blank, it's the page that tells you if your grade is good enough to get the certificate. I know this because is worked with moodle 1.9.1+, but this time, I want it to work with 1.9.5.

Any other ideas? mixed

A blank page usually means there is an error message. Turn debugging on and see what error message you get.

I turned debugging on, and I got the following message:

Notice: Constant FPDF_VERSION already defined in /opt/lampp/lib/php/fpdf.php on line 10

Since it is an fpdf error (and I don't know offhand why you are getting that error), you might try choosing one of the unicode types (they use tcpdf) and see if that works.

Sounds good, but how would I change fpdf to tcpdf?

I need to know exactly what I need to do as I don't want to corrupt my system.

Cheers.

It is used by the unicode types "you might try choosing one of the unicode types"
Just change the certificate type.

As of 2.0 Moodle and the certificate will use only tcpdf.

I removed the old certificate and tried the 4.3 FAT certificate instead and I got the same error message.

Is this what you meant by changing the certificate type?
