I am trying to add a left navigation using a "sticky block" only for my course and i am not sure to do that, can some one help me - Lal

If you only want the block in your course then just use the standard add block menu rather than a sticky block...

You can't do it yet.

We are implementing more flexible sicky blocks for Moodle 2.0, so you will be able to do it eventually.
