Hi to all!
Seeing the features currently being worked on for Moodle 2.0 i must confess that i was expecting to find anything related to IMS DRI support.
IMS DRI is widely used in repositories (e.g. crimsonHex) and protocols (eduSource Communication Layer - ECL) and describes recommendations for the interoperation of the most common repository functions. These functions must be implemented as services in order to provide a common interface.
Has anybody working in this support or interested in this subject?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ricardo,
and is there any open implementation? I've been trying to look for crimsonHex and similar but failed miserably to get any DRI implementation to take a look to it (apart from IMS specs themselves).
I think it could be interesting, sure. More with upcoming Repo stuff coming in Moodle 2.0. Just need to focus the thing and learn a bit about it.
Any information / reference of any type will be really welcome! Ciao

Hi,
CrimsonHex is a repository of specialised Learning Objects and is still in development, but you can try it at http://mooshak.dcc.fc.up.pt:8080/crimsonHex/.
It implements the IMS DRI specification and we extend it to support other functions (e.g. report/store) and a new web service flavour (e.g. REST). At this moment, we are implementing a web based app to allow the management of the repository, but we are willing to integrate it in other eLearning system types (e.g. LMS's like Moodle). So i think that makes sense that the new version of Moodle supports DRI and we are interested in collaborate in this support.
Cheers.
