There's an interesting discussion in the Drupal in Education User group on the further development of Drupal's Quiz module (http://drupal.org/project/quiz) regarding
"Separating question bank from quiz taking"

The discussion is centring around a Drupal managed Quiz/Question Bank with possibly QTI Data Exchange. Maybe someone from this end is interested in this interoperability endeavour, too.
