Hi,

We have had a number of problems with students uploading obsence pictures. Is there any way of completely removing them being allowed to upload any images.

Do you mean not being allowed to upload images for their profiles? Site admin>security>site policies.. scroll down and disable user profile images.

Brilliant. Thats sorted it.

Do you know if it is possible, for me as admin, to say upload 10 images, and the user can chose which image they want displaying.

Any help will be highly appreciated

Seems it would be easy to create a little PHP script that would copy an image to the correct folder — so in your "Welcome to Moodle" course you could have an option where they go in and click the image they want. I know this would be super easy as a block — not sure about other methods, though.

We have run into this problem before, and what we do is visit http://<yourmoodlesite>/userpix/ every now and then and delete the offending icons. The students soon get the message and if they are really offensive messages then we go down disciplinary routes...

That's exactly what we do as well. We don't want to stifle everybody just because of a few people who are prepared to be offensive
