Hi, I have recently upgraded from Moodle 1.6 to 1.9.3 and I have discovered there is a problem when accessing uploaded resources i.e. PDF, DOC etc.
Before deciding to write to the forum I thought I would test and investigate myself, so as a simple test I emailed 2 direct links from Moodle to a work colleague, 1 using the File.php?file=/ path and the other using View.php path i.e.
The link using File.php does not seem to open the resources directly, it rolls around to the front page of the Moodle. The strangest thing is if I close the browser window and then click to reopen the resource it displays correctly? While on the flip side the View.php path link opened without a problem first time.
Does anyone know of a fix for this issue? or if there is a way to have resources display using both file.php and view.php paths?
