BUG - Maximum Entries in Database Module

Hello,

Either there is a bug or there is something that i am missing!

I created a database activity and in that database i wanted every student to submit only one entry so made the setting for Maximum entries to be 1 - this is what the help feature told me:

Maximum Entries

The maximum number of entries a participant can submit for this activity.


While testing as a student i noticed that i can submit much more than 1 entry, i was able to submit up to ten entries without any single warning (i logged in to a student account - i didnt switch role)

As an instructor or student i was able to see all of my entries knowing that i had the maximum entries set to 1.

I tried the above scenario in more than one course and it is all the same result.

I am running Moodle 1.9.4 on RHEL 5.1.

Can anyone help?!!

It sounds like it is a bug, please add it to the bug tracker http://tracker.moodle.org/, if there is not already a similar issue there.

I did post in the bug tracker but i didnt know who to assign it to so left the assigned part blank, can you assign someone.

Hi,

Database newbie here:

I am using Moodle 1.9. I tried to set up a database and then populate it and two wierd (to me) things have happened:

1. I tried to import a csv file of 150 lines but only the first 102 made it into the database. I can't see anything odd about the lines where it stopped importing.

2. I no longer have an Add Entry tab. Where has it gone?

If anyone can help, I would be grateful.

Create a new database, try to upload the first 102 lines and see what happens. If this works properly then there might be something wrong in your 103rd line although you can't see it yet. The csv import doesn't like special characters of the kind you get from Word, such as ’. 微笑
