Greetings, Meeda!

I think that you might be thinking about course categories more than course formats. The courses could be grouped into categories such as First year, Second year, etc. and then according to semester. It is common to have a course for each subject and teacher, every semester. So you might have:

  • First Year (category)
    • Semester 1 (category)
      • Math--instructor 1 (course)
      • Math--instructor 2 (course)
      • History--instructor 1 (course)
      • History--instructor 2 (course)
      • etc.
    • Semester 2 (category)
      • Math--instructor 1 (course)
      • Math--instructor 2 (course)
      • History--instructor 1 (course)
      • History--instructor 2 (course)
      • etc. (course)
  • Second Year (category)
    • Semester 1 (category)
      • Math--instructor 1 (course)
      • Math--instructor 2 (course)
      • History--instructor 1 (course)
      • History--instructor 2 (course)
      • etc.
    • Semester 2 (category)
      • Math--instructor 1 (course)
      • Math--instructor 2 (course)
      • History--instructor 1 (course)
      • History--instructor 2 (course)
      • etc. (course)
You can have a great many courses to support a whole school. And you can show or hide categories. Or you can set up a new moodle instance each semester and use the old ones as archives. There are many ways to approach the problem.

Is that what you meant?

Thank U Vey Muchsmile

I Think Your Idea is very good and i use it but it's too much to add the students in all courses which mean i have for example 200 student in the first year primary school and their all take the same five courses with the difference of the instructor of course

but by this way i have to add them five times which the number of courses is this correct?

At our institution, we run batch files to enroll students.

You can also run a batch file to create empty course shells. I did a presentation last summer on this, so you are welcome to have a look (that was moodle 1.8). If you use the course creation batch, make sure all instructor accounts already exist on the system.

The batch files for enrolling are not too hard and we run them each semester with 1400+ students taking an average of 4-5 courses each. The file is about 6,000 lines long. So you can enroll a LOT of users in a hurry.

See http://docs.moodle.org/en/Upload_users

Hope that helps!

If you have the same students in all courses, you may consider using metacourses. The way it works is that you create one course where you add your students. All other courses are set to be metacourses taking their enrollment from that one course. Only teachers are set separately.
