Except for the enrollment feature, metacourses and their child courses function as two entirely separate courses. So, to answer your question, grades are not automatically transferred between metacourses and child courses.
If you needed to enter the grades from the child courses into the metacourse, you could periodically export the grades from the child course and then import them into the gradebook in the metacourse.
