HTTP Methods

I'm using N-Stalker Web applcation- free version.

These are what it comes back with.

PROPFIND, OPTIONS, TRACE, PROPPATCH, MKCOL, COPY, MOVE, LOCK, UNLOCK, LINK, UNLINK.

Some of these are for WebDAV.  I have the mod_dav explicitly disabled in my apache config but didn't explicitly disable these as I didn't see that in the installation guide.  Is there a setting within Moodle that I'm not aware of or should I just disable them in my apache file?  I'm reluctant to do such if they actually are being used for something.

The scanner also came back with a list of some backup files and that my apache and PHP need to be upgraded.  I'm using Moodle 1.8  and am planning on upgrading these this winter break.  If these aren't closed when I upgrade, I'd at least like to know what they are being used for.
