I have been trying to get TeX notation to render on my install of 1.9.2. The problems I've run are several (the first problem is documented on a later post by me). Today I've run into a new, more perplexing TeX problem:

This renders just fine:

\sqrt{49} with double dollar signs on each end

This, however, doesn't:

\sqrt{10} with double dollar signs on each end

This renders just fine:

{a+b \over c+d} with double dollar signs on each end

This, however, doesn't:

{3 \over 7} with double dollar signs on each end

This renders just fine:

\frac{3}{4} with double dollar signs on each end

But this doesn't:

\frac{3}{7} with double dollar signs on each end

Not being mathematical at all, I am at a loss to explain to teachers why this is occurring. Again, thanks for any help anyone can give me....I'm going crazy here

It is all rendering correctly now......I had to do the "debugging" thing to get everything to work correctly. I'm not sure how I did it, but it worked!
