I put the certificate folder into the mod directory and when I launch Moodle I get the following:

certificate module needs upgrading

(mysql): ALTER TABLE mdl_certificate ADD intro TEXT after name
1146: Table 'moodle.mdl_certificate' doesn't exist
ErrorScroll to next warning
Scroll to previous warningUpgrading certificate from 2007042503 to 2008080901 FAILED!

Am I missing something in the installation procedure?
