Hi everybody,

I want to set up my moodle in a free PHP host, which is the http://byehost.com. I've tried to upload all the files and folders in the "moodle" folder to the host via FPT but when I tried to get into the sites, I found it doesn't work.

Is there anyone here had tried to upload Moodle into a free host ? Can anyone here give me a tutorial for that work ? Sorry if because I'm just a teacher and IT problem always seems to be very difficult to me.

Hi Minh. Does Byehost give you a free database too? (Such as MySQL?)

That's a required feature for Moodle, and is often not available on free hosts (although it's becoming more common now).

Byehost also give a free MySQL database with PHP host.
But I don't know what to do next.
Do you know any free host which is more easier to set up Moodle ?

Hello, Minh,

If what you want is just a free development site to play with, I have recently discovered Ninehub, as a free hosting service for Moodle. You don't need to install Moodle, just to configure your own site as administrator.

The good news: it is very reliable.

The bad news: you don't have any access to the code, and therefore, you can not install new pluggins or php extensions, such as OpenSSL.

I want to use Moodle for my teaching.

However, at that first time, it is a good idea to get use to it before looking for anything further.

Can you show me where can I find more informations about Ninehub ?

I've lucky finished set up moodle in the free host site.

I will return to ninehub when my site becomes too big to locates on the free host.
