We are running version 1.9.  Our Business teacher has described the following problem:

I just graded and commented on Andrew Stafford, Kiley Strakis, Steven Torres, and Derek Woods....the ones for Kiley and Derek saved the others did not. However, when I go back in to update again, my comments and grades are there. I'm sure that if I shut down that the grades and comments will be gone because that is what happened this morning for these same students. Also, notice that the Teacher modified date/time changed for 2 of them but not the others.
 
Needless to say, I'm wasting a lot of time grading and re-grading the assignments.
 
If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated!

I just wanted to add that we are experiencing this sporadically. So far it has happened only on the Upload a Single File version of the assignment. We have also been using the Advanced Upload without any issues. The puzzling thing is that on one specific assignment, grading and comments worked fine for one student, but not for another. I tried to grade and comment on the same student the instructor had a problem with, and though it looks as if it saved the grade/comments, a refresh of the page shows otherwise; the grades/comments did not save!

As a workaround, I had the instructor turn editing on in the gradebook and and directly edit the students grade. Everything saves fine in that mode. Alternatively, you could have the instructor use the Advanced Upload option until a fix is available.

By the way, we are using 1.9 as well.
