Does anyone know about how large the MY SQL datebases are with a Moodle site is fully operational with say about 50-60 courses? I am just looking for a ballpark estimate as I may need to purchase a hard drive or two.

Steven - It really depends on the type of site and course and the usage. I know that for a site with about 1,100 users getting pretty heavy/regular usage the database ended up being about 1G for the academic year. Most of that was the logs so if you purge the logs every 90 days or something like that you could probably keep yourself from having too much trouble. But it is difficult to say how big yours will be. I would just let it go for about a month and see how much the database is growing per week or month. I hope that helps some. Peace - Anthony
