I am facing a problem for which I could not find a solution yet:

When a registered user requests his enrollment in a course (by clicking on the title) he is automatically enrolled by the system. The thing is: I want to analyze the enrollment "request" before providing the user with access to the course contents. What happens is that all users who accept the enrollment get instant access to everything in the course.

(Assuming 1.7+) You might set up a new default role for the course, such as "requestor" with very restrictive permissions, then have the teacher/administrator "approve" such requests by changing the user's role to 'student'.

Would the teacher/admin have to manually look for the requester roles, or is there a way to notify the teacher/admin by email that a request is pending.

HI!
Im having the same problem.
Tryed your solution bur I cant find "requestor" role. only guest, student, teacher etc..
Is there a specific place to look?
