We are using the Journal module with version 2.1.1. After a teacher added feedback to one or two students' journal entries and then had to log out of Moodle, an email was sent to all students in the course that feedback as been added. While students can't see each others' feedback, it is disconcerting to get such an email notifcation if the teacher hasn't actually finished giving feedback to everyone. We've checked the journal settings, but there is no setting about email notifications. Is there some way to turn this off or to set it to email only students who have received feedback?

Erica,
I have the same problem as you and really wish there is a way to set an email to be sent just to the student receiveing the feedback.
Anyone has idea about how to do that or is there a way to do that?
Thanks

Hi,
Download the last version of the journal module for 2.x (available here) to solve the problem. Thanks to Tim Greiser
