We have been successfully using LDAP authentication with Moodle for a while now, however, we have a new user who has an apostrophe in her username. Magic quotes are setup as described in the FAQ, how can i fix this problem?

Thanks.

Hmmm. This is a known problem, and is fixed in CVS. I will backport it to STABLE and you can get it from CVS STABLE or just grabbing one of the 'daily stable' bundles tomorrow.

Unfortunately, magic quotes don't fix it sad

Backported, tested, committed to STABLE. Grab the update from CVS or from the daily 1.4.2+ (may take a few hours to show up there yet).

Let us know how it goes.

I have extracted the latest Moodle from the download page and this made no difference. I have also put the latest version of the ldap lib.php from CVS which you did the other day, this hasn't fixed it either.

Is there another file that's been updated that i haven't copied over?

Thanks.

I'm seeing a similar problem with passwords.  Usernames with an apostrophe in their password will not resolve against an ldap lookup, but local users with an apostrophe in their password seem to work fine.
