Just to say, both these issues have now been integrated, so this is in for Moodle 5.0.

This feature has never existed in the standard Moodle release. It is not something we would have removed. I wonder if you had a plugin that did that?

I am hoping that posting here lets relevant people see this question.
What do we think about "MDL-69306 Duplicated quiz uses the same questions from the question bank: can confuse teachers if they expect questions were copied too" now?
I am wondering if this can now just be closed?
My reasoning:
In Moodle 5.0, if make a quiz and add questions directly to it, then the questions are put in that quiz's private question pool, so if you duplicate the quiz, the all the questions are copied too, which is what was asked for in that issue.
And, if you add questions from shared questions banks, then the previous backup-restore behaviour applies, but now in Moodle 5.0, it is much clearer in the interface that those particular questions come from a shared bank, so teachers are less likely to be confused about what is happening.
So, as I say, I think there is nothing left to do there. But, I am giving people this chance to disagree with me before I close it.
