We are already relying on the teacher to create a link to the stealthed activity in a sensible place - and where they create that link probably determines which other module it is sensible to set as parent.
At the OU so far, we have had stealth mode without parents, and that really has been confusing - hence this change.

Doh! sorry, I was forgetting that completely hiding hidden activities when editing was off was a separate OU-local hack.
OK, I will display not-visible-to-student activities just like hidden activities are currently displayed, and ensure that the various different types of hidden activity all have the same CSS class as is currently used, and also, that they all have an extra class to distinguish the various types. Then people can configure this in their themes.

It is up to the individual modules to support My Moodle. Some do, some don't. The quiz only will from Moodle 1.9, for example.
