Develop a Quiz access rule plugin (like the one for SEB or "browser security full-screen pop-up"), so you can set quizzes using your thing to use 'secure' layout.

In the question bank UI, it shows how many times each qestion is used in a quiz.
But, that still leaves you clicking the checkboxes then using bulk delete at the bottom of the page.
But, anything slicker than that is probably going to require coding a script.

Exactly.
Certainly, a future enhancement to get these grades into the gradebook would be a good improvement, but someone would have to do the work to make that happen.
