Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate the fact that I haven't left much time for review. The truth is I should have started the contest much sooner. I was waiting to start until I felt comfortable enough to judge them based on the 2.0 theme engine myself and then felt rushed to have it wrapped up before the Goshen MoodleMoot here in Indiana.

With that said, I don't think it's wise to extend the rating period. As you can see, the rating rubric I've setup is not doing the job I intended. The important criteria for selection are a.) cleanliness of code, and b.) creative use of the the 2.0 theme engine.

The contest winner will be announced tomorrow.

You need the following in your theme's config.php file:

$THEME->enable_dock = true;

Hello all,

NewSchool Learning received 12 theme submissions from 11 contestants for the Moodle 2.0 Theme Contest. I've created a space for you to preview, download, rate, and comment on all of the themes that have been submitted. Here it is:

Regarding the ratings: We considered several different rating systems before settling on this one. Each system has its pros and cons. This one included. Please take time to look at the themes before using the rubric to rate the themes.

If you have an understanding of the Moodle 2 theme engine, please download and review the source code. Your scrutiny and feedback will greatly help strengthen the themes and developers' skills.

I'm still working on the demo site. Since I started with a clean 2.0 installation, it's still a bit empty. If you have a 2.0 test course that you'd like to share, please do. Still, the best way to see these themes is to download them for use on your local test installation.

Don’t forget that we’re buying the developer of the theme with the highest community rating, the tightest code, and the most creative use of the Moodle 2.0 theme engine a brand new 16GB iPad. Plus, the best themes will all be included in the Moodle 2.0 core. The stakes are high. Please take your time reviewing these themes and ask the developers questions in the submission comment area if you have any.
