Either way, it's not really specific to MoodleCloud so I'll probably more it into the General help forum shortly When you made him a new account a couple of days ago, did you create it manually - can you look to see at his account and see if it says "Manual accounts" next to "Authentication method" in Site administration >Users >Browse list of users?

That error about being logged in on another device means that he is trying to log in by pressing the Google button (and he can't change his password because he is using his Google/Gmail acccount and can only change it there) If you made him a new account you need to tell him to log in via the normal login fields and not to press the GGoogle button.

I'll do my best to install it and try it out over the weekend - although I'm a bit Workshop fan, I am very curious about this.

Hello and welcome to Moodle Are you able to install extra add ons/ plugins on your Moodle site? If you use the Course completion feature and have a final course grade as your qualification, then you could use a plugin called Course completed enrolment. It's described in a blog post here: Create a sequence of online courses with this Moodle plugin - see if it meets your needs.
