Thanks Al! I might not vanish completely from the forums.. there seems to a growing 'club' of retired Moodlers on here 😉
I will just move this to the Teaching with Moodle forum, Visvanath. By "ChatGPT said" I was referring to Eduardo's presumably ChatGPT generated passage. Of course nothing is suitable for all learners but remember -those courses on Moodle Academy are meant to be short introductions, so a sentence like "not suitable for all learners" is not designed to end the conversation-just to hopefully arouse curiosity into which learners it's not suitable for and why. (Such as me 😀)
Chat GPT says "The text suggests that gamification is motivating and useful, but it does not mention that it can also generate negative comparison, toxic competitiveness and loss of motivation for more shy or anxious students"
What about the Warning: Use with care caveat?
(Btw I need to update the course along with others since it references Moodle.net. I will also link to the Gamification course. Whether I have time to do all this before I retire in 6 working days' time I don't know.)
