That really is odd. I am not seeing that on my 1.6 Beta 5 installation.

I understand that it probably _is_ necessary to do that sometimes, Martin, but I hope you will avoid it whenever possible.
Some third-party modules are pretty important. (Lately, I use Quickmail, for example, every day, sometimes several times in a day.)

I am running Moodle 1.6 Beta 5 and am getting the same error:
I have tried the updated mysql file (post above this one), but continue to get the error.
Any other ideas?
