Everything takes time, no?

No problem, Lesli! Put your feet up, girl.
This thread will be here when you have something you want to add and the time to do it.
I look forward to that.
Thanks,
Art

John,
I like that your course helps students reflect on how they learn. For example, I think that it is great that you introduce them to learning styles. I think that it is great that you help the students understand that it may take time to become accustomed to online learning. This sort of thing can be a comfort to younger students who do not immediately "get it," right? I really like that.
There is a lot of text in the course. Have you considered making a few brief talking head videos to include in the course? Might be nice. Might make the course feel a little more personal. Just a thought.

Hi, Lesli,
Thank you for posting.
I remembered that you had a less than wonderful experience with the workshop mod, but that is a useful thing for Russ and the rest of us to know, right? There is no substitute for experience "in the trenches," is there?
What I recall your telling me was that it was frustrating that some students did not submit their work for peer assessment by the deadline and that messed up the workflow for the assignment. Does that sound familiar?
A couple of participants in this thread have had good experiences with the workshop module, of course.
Anyway, it does, indeed, seem that the workshop module is going to be much-improved in Moodle 2.0. And it seems that it might be a good mod for Russ.
Lesli, while you are here, what do YOU think some essential components of a high school Moodle course are?
Thanks,
Art

This is just the sort of post that I find especially helpful, Marcia. Practical, useful and based upon real-world experience at the high school level.
Do you think you could do a screen capture of the role you set up and post it? Is that doable? That way, it could be easier for others to do what you have done.
Just a thought.
