Hmmm... I do not think that this is a Moodle problem, but maybe someone can help me with this:
When I create a "Link to a file or a web site" resource to a remote server (google.com, moodle.org, etc.), all is well.
But when I create a similar resource by linking to a local file (web page, image, pdf, etc.), my browser wants to download the file to my hard drive.
This is happening in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera.
To make things a little stranger, it happens on my 1.6 production site, but doe NOT happen on my 1.7 test site. (They are on different servers, by the way.)
I do have a lot of third-party modules on the 1.6 site. Maybe I need to try disabling some of those and see what happens.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Regards,
Art

Hi, Milan,
What a noble project! One thought: I think that it might help if you would say a little more about the kind of customiztion you need. Maybe be a little more specific.
Just a friendly suggestion, of course.

Hi, Sheila,
Just to be sure... You enable the media filter and see something like the screen capture below, right?
