For example, this RedHat server. Is it in a LAN, or does it have a public IP-address, a DNS-name, or all of them?
Wenn you say, your web-server was working, how did you test.
Now these XP-boxes which cannot "access" Moodle: How do you try to access Moodle? I know, you type a URL on to a browser ;) But how does this URL look like in your case?

If you are not afraid of Linux, go for it!
All the experienced Moodlers here will tell you that Windows is OK to launch a prototype, to do some testing. But if you are going for production, your investment suggests that, Linux is _far_ superior.

Wie sieht es mit der XML-Linie momentan aus? Hat jemand sich mit DocBook auseinandergesetzt?
OpenOffice-Format sollte ja bereits XML sein. Sogar Microsoft verspricht in Zukunft ihre Office-Formata in XML umzusteigen, allerdings das soll patentiert sein
