Q. Copying-and-pasting Unix shell commands on the terminal is good.

[ ] True [ ] False

A. Of course True. It was good *for me* and is still good *for me*.

Yep, that is the (digital) world of Moodle (Quiz). The analog world is unfortunately a bit more complicated. The answer there is True and False. Why? Because there are people in the audience who tick that way AND who don't tick that way. So the question there is: Are you writing those instructions for yourself or for the others? Or are you assuming that the world is good for you is good for everybody?

If I were to take the error message, "api-version-unsupported : The system was unable to install the Column component from the package, as it requires a newer version of the H5P plugin. This site is currently running version 1.24, whereas the required version is 1.27 or higher. Please upgrade and then try again", literally (with no understanding of H5P), it means:
a) It is related to the activity "Column component" (in this case)
b) it requires the H5P plug-in (the "plug-in"? mod_hvp? really? I thought we are in mod_h5pactivity.)
c) there is one, but it is version 1.24, the "Column component" needs 1.27.

I don't know whether I am right, or over-interpreting an error message. I know, generally one can't take error message from a computer literally, but I don't understand the depth, have no intuition to interpret it "intelligently". I could have missed something basic. Sorry for being so dumb. I sincerely hope we have people who do in the h5p community.

In a Moodle 4.1.15, PHP 7.4, mod_h5pactivity 2022112801, opening a page like mysite/mod/h5pactivity/view.php?id=N gives:

api-version-unsupported : The system was unable to install the Column component from the package, as it requires a newer version of the H5P plugin. This site is currently running version 1.24, whereas the required version is 1.27 or higher. Please upgrade and then try again.

The activity was created by uploading a .h5p package. (I don't know from where.)

I have the site upgraded to 4.5 in a staging server. There it displays the activity without trouble. But this is the production site and needs to run a couple of months until we upgrade. How can I get the 4.1 production site working again?

P.S. This is the same question as api-version-unsupported : ..unable to install the Column component from the package,... I got confused in the two versions of H5P and the discussion went nowhere. Sorry.

My, memory (hopefully)!

I applied the same patch, [hvp] Content throws "Exception - Call to undefined function str_contains()" [SOLVED], and the H5P "black" stopped throwing this error and the activities appear.

OK, what a power user tested, all worked. There are 8000 "black" H5P activities, waiting for the other users to react.
