That reminds me of a system administrator who landed in hot water by deleting the Thrash folder in a big clean-up, after properly warning everybody. One clever Don has found that the Trash folder is the best place to archive which allows to keep the Inbox short - that a a long time ago. So a decade of e-mail archive was lost!

Wie bei den meisten Werkzeugen kommt Moodle mit wohl documentierten directen Loesungen fuer eine gewisse Anzahl Problemen. Das sind die Workflows jedes Moodle unbedingt brauchen. Darueber hinaus gibt es eine Anzahl Probleme, welche nur mit Kombinationen zu loesen sind. Das beides mit Bordmittel.

Du hast all das erschoepft und keine Loesung gefunden. Das geht dann in die dritte Stufe, in Kombination mit Zusatzplugins. Moodle Plugindatabase hat um 2000 Plugins, also da muss was moeglich sein. Da ich nicht vor langer Zeit fast das selbe Problem geloest habe, habe ich dir meine Rettung, das Invitation Plugin vorgeschlagen. OK, es ist nicht 100% das, z.B. Quiz statt Questionnire. Da braucht man Fantasie.


Falls du das Plugin installierst und nicht weiter kommst, schreib zurueck. Ich werde ein Demo erstellen.

Ken has mentioned the plug-in problematic (depending on the exact plug-ins in use).

About a staging upgrade, if the sites are in production it is a must. Even if you declare a long service time, say 5 days, I would still do a staging upgrade. 3.1 > 4.5 is not a simple upgrade,  like 4.3 > 4.5, it is a hyper-hyper jump. Over the years so much has changed you'll face any number of obstacles. (Longer you wait, more obstacles will accumulate.)

Either way, you know the basic rule, a Site backup before every upgrade?
