Bonjour,

Hola Carolina!

Thanks for re-posting your question here (as advised on the H5P forum).

You say "I am using the plugin (blue icon) installed by me". Actually the Moodle core H5P activity (the blue icon) cannot have been installed by you, it's part of the standard Moodle plugins so it's already installed when you install your Moodle site.

Then you say "I have been trying to use the Bank content in Moodle to create activities (black icon), ..." Again you are wrong, H5P activities created in the Bank content can be used in your Moodle course by using the blue icon.

OK, don't panic, you are not the first Moodle user to experience difficulties understanding how to work with the H5P activities. In my opinion (and I'm not alone) things are un-necessarily complicated. Here is my advice to take things from the beginning to get it to work.

0.- Are you the admin of your Moodle site, or do you have admin rights?

1.- Forget about the external H5P plugin (the black icon). If you can see that black H5P icon on when you try to add a new H5P activity, then it means that you installed that plugin. There is no need to use that.

2.- Take your time and read carefully the online Documentation for H5P here: https://docs.moodle.org/en/H5P and also here https://docs.moodle.org/en/Content_bank

3.- After you have understood the concept of "Content Bank", in one of your courses of your Moodle Site, go to the Content Bank page and check that you can see the whole list of H5P activities available here: the H5P Interactive content drop-list looks very short, but use the scrollbar to display the full list.

If you can see (approx.) 40 h5p activities in the list, then you are set to go. Just click to select one activity, create it, and follow the Documentation help to put your H5P activities inside your course(s).

If this doesn't work, come back here with more information...

IMPORTANT Have you read this important notice: Important update: H5P content types version bump - Recommendations to avoid issues?

And finally, could you possibly update your Moodle site to version 4.5?

One more thing, have you tried to create more simple H5P activities, such as Multiple Choice, or Drag the Words, etc. before trying the "complex" activities such as Interactive Video or Interactive Book, etc?

... and the sooner the better. It does not make sense to have to concurrent text editors in Moodle, makes life complicated for plugin developers who have to create different versions to take into account each editor's syncrasies. 😉
