It's hard to believe that the Moodle HQ team did not anticipate (or simply dismissed the idea) that installing Moodle 5.1 on a shared hosting would cause "small users" such headaches.😡
I have read Diogenes Mata's post (in Spanish) but am not using CPanel so it did not help. I have contacted the GANDI helpdesk who suggested to follow this example: https://blog.forret.com/2020/03/05/hosting-a-laravel-project-on-gandi/
I will have a look and report here. In the meantime, I suggest we use the current discussion as a repository of problems (and SOLUTIONS) for installing Moodle on shared hostings.
Note.- I'm afraid our friend Ken Task's post in the current discussion is NOT primarily concerned with shared hosting, and - for the sake of clarity - I would kindly ask potential new posters to restrict themselves to the question of installing Moodle 5.1 on a shared hosting.

En effet, j'ai bien compris que mon problème vient de ce que j'ai un serveur mutualisé chez GANDI. On va bien voir ce qu'ils me répondent.
Il n'empêche que ce gros changement introduit avec la version 5.1 complique bien l'installation et fait des mécontents..😡😡😡
On va voir ce qu'en pensent les autres moudleurs qui sont également sur des serveurs mutualisés.
Alors, pas d'autres moudleurs aventureux qui ont tenté l'installation de la version 5.1 ?
Je viens de contacter mon fournisseur d'accès, GANDI et j'attends leur réponse.
