I think you must have somehow given the teacher role the mod/assign:submit capability. From memory, I think that's the capability that causes someone to appear on that list.

To confirm this, you can go to Participants, then 'Check permissions' from the dropdown, pick one of your teachers and see if they have that capability.

Moodle doesn't (unless I've missed something) have a proctoring facility, so you must be considering using some third-party service?

We did trial one and as well as making us all feel very uncomfortable, the software works largely with the student's browser, not Moodle. I don't think there would have been any impact at all on Moodle. However, this will depend on what product you are proposing using.

Interesting... I also use docker compose for spinning up new Moodle instances. Yours is somewhat more complicated/comprehensive. There's a few things in there that I need to investigate smile
