I am new to moodle and just inherited a moodle platform running on Linux (Red Hat) with Moodle 1.9.6 with MySQL 5.0.25
We have a student registration system (SIS) running Oracle on one server and I would like to know the best method of automated enrolment for the student once they log in to Moodle.
I have narrowed it down to either database or LDAP method.
Which is your preference and why?
If I were to use LDAP, could anyone provide me with specific steps I would need to do to make it happen? We are running Active Directory. What I am looking for is a schema design and triggers on how to update the directory from a programming/scripting side of things from our SIS to LDAP.
