Moodle in English -> General help -> JSON Error in the file manager -> Re: JSON Error in the file manager

Just now when I was using the latest FireFox on a Mac, and trying to rank someone's posting as "Useful" on moodle.org, I got this error message too:

JSON.parse: unexpected end of data

I don't think Moodle.org is running on top of IIS right? If that's the case, is there any solution to avoid getting this error message in the future? Thanks you.

Hi Whitney, thanks for your reply.

I think that's an interesting idea. However I'm afraid that if students just go directly to the last page and enter information on the last page, it would still be counted as "completed" right? Also when you say entering some info, were you thinking of doing some type of simple essay type of questions (that require manual grading) or something else? Thanks again!

I have a related question. I'm using Moodle 2.4.5 and I have a simple LESSON set up without using any questions or grading options. However, I did enable the conditional activities and the activity completion options. I hope to set it up in a way that Moodle will track whether each student has "browsed" all the pages in the LESSON module, then the activity completion condition of the LESSON will be marked as complete thus unlock the following item, which is a certificate. So currently in the certificate's (Restrict access) setting, I set it up with "activity completion condition" to be "Lesson" "must be marked complete." However I don't think this works as without any quizzes or manual marked as completion, Moodle does not seem to count or care "browsing all pages in a LESSON" as "complete." Is there any workaround about this? Thank you for your help!

Hi everyone, just a real quick question. Currently on one of our production sites we have 20+ language packs installed. Are these language packs creating more database tables or creating loads on the MySQL database in anyway? Would it has bad impact on the Moodle performance in any way? Thanks!

Moodle in English -> General developer forum -> Useful SQL Queries? -> Re: Useful SQL Queries?

This is a wonderful thread. Thanks for all the discussion!

Just a quick question. Is it possible to write a SQL query to query on how installed language packs are being used by any courses or any users? We initially installed a lot of language packs but seem that most of them were not used by any users, so we would like to remove some of them. Thanks!
