There is a setting in Moodle that removes logs after a certain time, called "loglifetime".
This defaults to not deleting any logs, but your admin may have it set to a few months or something, in which case those old logs would now have been deleted.
If you mean that you can not see logs from a current course then that is something else. Probably the log table is corrupted and needs repairing by the admin.

Well, yes, it sure looks good.
I guess it comes down to how much work it takes to implement in Moodle 2.0, and how much delay to the Moodle 2.0 schedule people are willing to accept.
I'm interested to see a discussion on this here.
