Developers, help!
Can you please help write up the list of changes between 1.5.3 and 1.5.4? I'd like to release 1.5.4 as soon as possible.
Basically we need to boil down all of this:
http://docs.moodle.org/misc/CHANGES154.txt
to a nice readable list here:

Yes, too late, but don't worry, I merged them into the STABLE branch for you.
We all need to do this this in our local dev sites:
cvs -q update -r MOODLE_16_STABLE
and then from now on keep checking 1.6 bug fixes into STABLE first, and then merge them across to HEAD (which is now 1.7 dev).

Very soon I hope, but it's not easy to predict. A lot of serious flaws had been coming out in the past few weeks. It's slowed down somewhat (hence the branching now) but lots of things still need attention (see the bug tracker).
The beta should be quite usable now though, for all but big production sites.
Branch tag is MOODLE_16_STABLE
Branch point is MOODLE_16_BETA

I see your WOOHOO and raise you to a Moodle HQ barbecue happening in our backyard at 4pm today.

OK, we are definitely going to branch for Moodle 1.6 today and I'll bump it to Moodle 1.6 Beta 5 at the same time.
The bug fixing will continue on the branch, but there will be no more database changes allowed in 1.6.
HEAD will be freed up again for work on the 1.7 roadmap.
