I finally felt the HEAD code was stable enough to branch MOODLE_17_STABLE today (with a MOODLE_17_BETA tag at the branch point).

So HEAD is now 1.8 dev, while MOODLE_17_STABLE contains the Moodle 1.7 Beta version and continues to improve.

If you've been tracking HEAD recently you should probably switch to the branch so you can help with the last attack on remaining bugs before the Moodle 1.7 release.

I'm keeping an open mind to it, and will be looking into it further as soon as Moodle's IMS membership starts (any day now smile).

We already support SCORM (even though unfortunately the developers working on complete SCORM 2004 compliance for Moodle 1.7 could not finish it in time sad ). I don't think IMS CC is a big jump conceptually from that. If enough teachers want us to support IMS CC then Moodle will.
