I've not had th occasion to get an updated copy of a plug-in I've already installed before.

Do I have to go in and clean our all the old files associated with the prior version of flashcard or can I just install this one and let it over-write the previous files?

How old is the previous version you were using ?

As far I can see, if your flashcards were setup upon a matching question, you just should to update the code, let the upgrader add tables and fields, and update the flashcard itself so it can import the questions within its own tablespace.

Usually, when a module changes a lot (the case between old version and actual one), it would be better to uninstall and reinstall properly.

In case you have many flashcards already setup, you may try the above procedure, trying to keep most of your settings. You may have anyway to check the setup of all instances, because of new parameters being on the way.

Didn't have a clue what the Leitner System was.

We are not making any additions to Moodle for a while here. Is there a site I can visit and try this out?

might the folks who administer the demo site add flashcard there so we can play with it? There might be a policy against it: very few of the plug-ins are there, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hi Valery,
You may remember hat I installed that in may 2008 and works fine except the image upload and sound . I was away for the summer. is that problem fixed?
can we now add sound and images?

Hi ahmet, glad to hear about you.

Some more fixes have been performed on flashcard since that time. The most valuable would be you get the last upload zip and try again. The flashcard will have some follow up, because we plan it will be used in a few monthes for medecine learning. Till that time I will not have time to review it again.

Hi, I like your module, and installed on moodle 1.9, it works perfect, thanks!

However, there can only be embeded in the file's form as " text, image, sound, and sound + image", actually I want to add the character's flash in, yes, it's already a simple flash to show how to write it, word-building and sound, how can I make it work, and resize it according to the size of the flash itself. Also please add one form like text +sound.  Or other form files such as .flv,wmv, avi etc.

Thanks for your interest in Flashcard module. I should have a thought for it in the next weeks...

text + sound should be quite easy...

flash should be great indeed, for small animations...

video might be a bit more complicated, as each format may need switch a separate player...

I'll tell you...
