The front page of moodle.org now sports a block that shows the most recent Moodle site that we think is cool.  cool     All the cool sites are marked on the sites page.

Suggestions are welcome for sites you think are really cool!   By "cool" I mean sites that not only look good, but push the envelope or provide a really good demonstration of what can be done with Moodle.

Someday we should have a voting mechanism of some kind but for now either myself or Sean Keogh can make items cool.  So post your picks here!

Good idea! Helps in the promotion of the applicability of Moodle.

Just wondering if this is a block that will automatically change the site displayed daily.

If it is, would it be possible to,

  • Make it "generic" so it could change any content daily including images.
  • Be accessible from the admin panel so an Admin could create such a block for an entire site which could be either,
    • Non removable by another administrator or instructor or,
    • Could be deleted or hidden by another administrator or instructor.
  • Be accessible by an instructors so they could create an automatic daily content block in their course.
  • Have a GUI (I am beginning to understand the terminology) to make the use of such a block easy.

As I indicated. Just wondering. smile Also wondering if you are considering adding this function to the next release of Moodle? big grin
