Hi Ger,

perhaps your "zip" and "unzip" setting under "Administration/Configuration" are different in each server? Some zip files generated with internal Moodle routines cannot be decompressed with zip executables... Try modifying the 1.3.1!

If your config is the same in both servers, perhaps it's due to a transfer error?

Hope it helps...ciao smile

PS: If you don't solve the problem you can send me (privately) the zip file to check it.

I tried a clean install on another linux.

  • backuped an empty course in 1.3.1
  • restore... same error, so it is not the old zip file as you suppose
  • check the settings: blush (spelling error) thanks

Now the old server backups: works OK, they skip not implemented moduls, nice

Now the old server: blushblushclown ALSO a spelling error, so it works?... YES YES YES

THANKS for the hint

I only make some mistake with the data in the dirs
