Wiki

I posted a few times trying to find out if I could create new ewikis that have teacher prepared content. I received one answer from Ludo indicating that he though ewiki could maybe do a page like that and notes that both Nwiki and OUwiki can do this..... But......

Unfortunately, I am still looking for authoritative information as to whether I can create a wiki using ewiki with prepared content.

postscript: while I would love to be able to resolve my problems by simply moving to one of the proposed wiki replacements, the concern in my mind, which is appropriately restated ad infinitum, is the concern that once a transition has been made, upgrade to Moodle whatever (whether 1.9 or 2) will be difficult, or worse, result in loss of content.
