I have installed moodle ver. 1.8.3 + In a Linux server with mysql ver 5.045 and PHP 5.2.5, also I create some courses (without password) like administrator and some users with a student role, when I get into the system like a user (student role) is possible to see the courses but is not possible to get into the course topics. When I created the courses I select that the course is open for students and the period of time when course is open is form 2008/01/01 to 2008/12/31. For instance I have to change the role from student to a teacher without permissions to change and the user can see the course topics, and develop all the activities. However I like to fix the role. May some one could me explain the options that I have to activate in a user role to see the course topics or some one could me say where I can find a manual of definitions for each role options.
