Hi all, Sorry for asking this trivial question but i would like to click on a link in a side block that displays the resource e.g. a web page or whatever in the main content area in the middle. Does that make sense?

You can create an HTML block containing text hyperlinked to the resource URL.

For example, if you want to show a link to a specific quiz, type "Quiz" in the HTML editor and then insert a hyperlink like http://yoursite/mod/quiz/view.php?id=370. You get this URL by placing your mouse over the selected activity/resource in the center column, left clicking, and selecting "Copy Link Location" from the context menu.
