Is anyone else using their Moodle.org blog?

I started using my blog on this site to share my answers to questions that other Moodlers have sent me. Usually, these people have longer questions than you would find on the forums, or they have multiple questions. Whatever their reason for emailing me instead of using the forums, I don't mind answering their questions. But, this means the community doesn't get to learn from these users' situations. So, I started sharing some of the questions and answers on my blog on this site.
After I started using my blog, I looked at the profiles for at least thirty random participants here on moodle.org. None of them are using their blogs.
Is anyone here using their blog on moodle.org? And, when you've searched this site, have you ever had any search results that included someone's blog on this site?

You know, that is an interesting point. I don't believe I HAVE ever seen the blogs come up with the search tool. thoughtful I do sometimes use the cloud of tags, though. I like the new improvements there.

Hi Bill, I'd noticed you've been using the blog recently smile

Currently the blogs on moodle.org are restricted to authenticated users on this site only, because we had a bit too much spamming going on by users on this site. As a result Google doesn't see them and the current search block (which uses Google) won't find them.

There is a new global search mechanism though, started as part of the Google SOC last year and being finished by Valery Fremaux in 1.9 which will work a lot better (because the indexes are built by Moodle, internally).

I'm glad my blog entries will show up in search results. Some of the questions that I answer on my blog might apply to other users, but they'll never see them if those blog entries don't show up in the search results. In the meantime, I'll keep adding entries.

How many people do you think use their blogs here on moodle.org? I've seen some very active discussions on the use of Moodle blogs in the forums, but not much actual use of them here.
