Unfortunately, the coincidences are inevitable even if the paid-for one is innocent of any charge. The descriptions are reasonable specifications for an easy-to-use image manager. The name (index.php) is also more or less inevitable. Even the generated HTML is likely to be very similar. A quick but uncertain check is to look at the source HTML generated by the free script and one of the sites quoted as users of the paid one.

You are right, Bob. It really looks like PhotoFrame, but it could be a coincidence that it is so similar. And, in fact, the add/delete interface is not exaclty the same as PhotoFrame's. It is similar, but maybe that is inevitable.
That did have me popping a gasket for a while!
