Hi all,
here some news:
- The Royal Bank of Canada terminates their financial engagement in SCO ( German: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/47203). SCO announcement: (http://ir.sco.com/ReleaseDetail.cfm?ReleaseID=134782). Interesting isn't it?
- It is also interesting that SCO misleadingly claims to be the owner of the Unix OS (see the preample in their notifications), ignoring that in fact the OpenGroup holds the trademark on Unix and the right to name a Unix distribution as "Unix". SCO only claims - and didn't prove so far - that some Unices, like Linux for instance, are a subset of code of which SCO holds the intellectual property (the part they acquired from Novell some years ago).

Btw, as SCO's business model seems to be "generating income by sueing" and as business models seem to be patentable soon, it's only a question of time that they will hold this patent. Then every company who wants to enforce their intellectual property has to pay a license to SCO...
