Moodle community sites

I have just installed Moodle 1.8.4 and would like to incorportate multilanguage text onto the front page as well.

I looked through the various documents you referenced, and for version 1.8, it says that the span and lang codes are no longer supported.

Please teach me how to do a multilanguage content.

I would like to use both English and Hebrew.

I ran the admin/multilanguage.php script, and now I am stuck as to what to do.
